This website (the "Website") is administered by Ahli Bank S.A.O.G. (the "Bank" / "We" / "Us" / "Our"). The Bank recognizes the importance of protecting the personal information and personal data ("Data") received from its customers (the "Customer" / "You" / "Your). We understand that the Customer - Bank relationship is strongly built on trust and faith and the need to safeguard Data that You have entrusted to Us as set out hereunder: 
Collection of Data 
When you visit the Website, or correspond with the Bank, the Bank may through electronic means, seek and collect Data. 
Use of data
The Bank uses the Data it collects for the purpose of conducting its business, including: identifying Your requirements, delivering services and information requested, promoting other services and improving service quality. The Bank may also use Data to contact You for Your views on the Bank's services and events and to notify You occasionally about important changes or developments to the Website. The Bank will use the Data in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in this privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy"), Royal Decree 69/2008 enacting the Law of Electronic Transactions, other relevant legislation that is in force in Oman and the legal terms of use relative to the Bank's Internet Banking Service (the "Terms of Use"). 
Disclosure of Data 
Keeping Data secure and using it only as our Customers would want Us to, is a top priority for the Bank. We may however be required to disclose Data: 
  • To the Bank's associates and affiliates
  • In the Bank's notices and advisements
  • To authorized third parties such as the Bank's legal, financial and technical advisors provided that such third parties are bound by confidentiality obligations
  • To Government , judicial bodies and/ or banking regulators to whom the Bank is under an obligation to make disclosures under the requirements of any applicable law binding on the Bank or any of its branches, when the situation so demands
  • To reputable companies after obtaining the Customer's prior consent for such disclosure
Data Protection 
Subject to the above, the Bank agrees and undertakes that it: 
  • Will safeguard, according to strict standards of security and confidentiality, any Customer related Data
  • Will use the Data in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use
  • Permit only authorized employees, who are trained in the proper handling of Customer Data, to have access to such Data
  • Subject to the provisions of the section on Disclosure of Data, will not disclose Data to any external organization or third parties unless we have previously expressly informed the Customer in disclosures or agreements, and have been expressly authorized by the Customer, or as is required by applicable law or regulation
  • Will always maintain control over the confidentiality of our Customer Data
  • Will in case it hires other organizations, to provide support services, procure their conformity to our privacy standards and will conduct constant and regular audits to ensure their compliance
  • Will continuously assess itself to ensure that Customer privacy is at all times maintained and respected
Changes
The Bank has a right to edit or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the Bank makes any substantial changes to this Privacy Policy, The Bank will post a notification to this effect on the home page of the Website.
